2. FOTO GUADALUPEShe has a Ph.D. in Art History conferred by the University of Granada. From 2004 through 2008, she was the beneficiary of a pre-doctoral grant from the Ministry of Education and Science. She was also awarded a contract for post-doctoral mobility, which was associated with the National University of Colombia. She has worked as a lecturer in IES Abroad Granada (Institute for the International Education of Students, Chicago, USA). Currently she is Assistant Professor in the Department of Didactics of the Social Sciences of the University of Granada, where she conducts activities related to the teaching of historical and cultural heritage.

As a testament to her commitment to the profession, she co-founded the section on Art History of the Professional Association of Doctors and Bachelors of Granada, Almería and Jaén, over which she presided from 2005 to 2011. She is also the Treasurer and, as such, a member of the Executive Board of the Spanish Committee for Art History.

A member of the research group “Andalusia-America: Cultural Heritage and Artistic Relations” (HUM-806) of the University of Granada, her research revolves around the urban-planning analysis, architecture, art, and culture generated in the Indian towns of New Granada, as well as around the study of Andalusian artistic patronage on both sides of the Atlantic.
