2. FOTO YOLANDA GUASCHShe is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Didactics of the Social Sciences in the University of Granada. She has a bachelor’s degree (2005) and a Ph.D. (2011) in Art History conferred by the University of Granada, although she began her studies at the University of the Balearic Islands in the year 2000. More recently, she obtained a master’s degree in Cultural Management (University of Granada, 2007), which enabled her to work in the organization, design, and control of the exhibition program entitled “Andalucía Barroca” (2007), as well as in other exhibitions of an artistic nature. In 2008-2009, she completed a master’s degree in Art History: Research and Protection of Cultural Heritage at the University of Granada, including a master’s research project on “Memoria i exilio. El pintor Ramón Medina Tur”, which was awarded with a prize by the Institute of Ibizan Studies in 2009. Recently, her dissertation on “Artistas andaluces exiliados en México” has been granted the prize for outstanding dissertation.

Currently, the focus of her research is in contemporary art and the teaching and dissemination of heritage by curating exhibitions as well as other means, such as the presentation of small audiovisuals. She has participated in conferences and seminars, and gives lectures related to her areas of expertise. She is a researcher in the group Andalusia and America. Heritage and Artistic Relations, which is part of the Andalusian Research Program. Among her significant publications are the books Andalucía y México. Artistas exiliados (2013) and Artistas andaluces en el exilio (2011).
